Implementation of the InterACT application was based on the software specification we developed at the beginning of the project. The specification served as a structural blueprint the whole team could reference.

Devlopment Environment

The interactive portion of the InterACT software
application was created using Macromedia Director. We integrated
the Synthetic Interview software into Director using a Visual Basic-based ActiveX control
wrapper. The ActiveX control also handled the connections to our
Access database.

Graphics

|
The theme of diversity inspired our visual design and introductory animation. We aimed for a clean,
intuitive interface with legible typefaces. We chose subtle colors that suited the serious nature of the content.
