The raps and beats of DJ Sez are originals. Both are done in the style of "Old School" hip hop music. This means that the raps are very precise in their following of the beat. This is very easy to differentiate from more modern conversational and free styles of rapping. In addition to entertaining and providing a style and setting for the experience, the rap serves the purpose of guiding and instructing the guests. In this vein, making a rap that was both clear and universal to all generations was a high priority. The beats, composed in a meter of 4/4, in keeping with the "old school" theme, place a strong emphasis on beats 2 and 4, and are composed of precise subbeats. This creates a rhythym that is suitable for break dancing and easy, accurate rapping. Also important to this style is the use of synthesized sounds and basslines. To allow for a comfortable rap speed, the tempo was tested to an optimal 116 beats per minute.
