Welcome to the Playtest page for Chain ReAction! We’re making a multiplayer story game about historical nuclear testing in the United States and are currently looking for playtesters.
In our game, players will examine newly declassified evidence and confront different sides to the issue to ultimately determine the future of nuclear testing in America. Our final experience will be played by attendees of the 2021 Games for Change festival in July 12-14.
Here’s how YOU can help us:
1) Provide your email using this form if you’re free from 5-6pm EDT on Tuesday May 4th
2) Watch your email for a GCal event
3) Join the video call and Play the game
4) Submit your feedback using feedback forms provided after the playtest.
Setting and Background
Players assume the role of employees for various organizations on the eve of a major Senate Committee vote that will “bring the legacy of Nuclear Testing to the 21st century.” When the star witness for the committee hearings dies unexpectedly, it’s up to the players to piece together a version of the truth based on his life’s work.
We’d love to hear any suggestions about improving our playtest process or ways to get feedback remotely. We’ll also be updating this page with new playtest invites as they’re scheduled! Thank you all so much for your time and we look forward to seeing you at the playtest!
