Week 4
Feb. 22 – Feb. 26
After discussing the quarters feedback session and focusing ideas from previous brainstorming, our team decided the best path forward was to present two ideas at the next client meeting–a rough prototype of one idea and high fidelity storyboards for a second one.
Idea 1: Take a quiz and get served a large selection of HistoryMakers as image tile in 3D space. The user is positioned in front of a HistoryMaker who matches their quiz answers well at first. Then they can explore the rest of the people through connections to the first HistoryMaker.
Idea 2: Create a data visualization that changes when you adjust time, color, etc.
We believed that interesting navigation in a 3D space and taking a quiz to get curated content in idea 1 were important components to keep, but we did not have very compelling ideas to incorporate the client’s request for a timeline, so we left that as a separate idea to develop (idea 2).
By the end of the week, we had a working prototype for internal use, but we were still unsure of whether it was good enough to be worth showing the client (as opposed to the storyboards below).
