After playtest with tour guides and tourists, as well as soft opening with faculty consultants, we got many valuable feedback from different perspectives. We discussed about them within the team and refined parts that is actionable within our time scope. They are minor changes so we don’t have a footage for them. But we basically shifted the car dumping animation to make it dump a bigger angle, and change lighting and shadow to make the models more realistic in the augmented space.
We created many new assets for scene 2 over the week.
And some new sound assets as well.
On Saturday, we did another public playtest with an actual tour. We still got positive feedback from tourists and tour guides saying that they enjoy the experience a lot.
One thing worth mentioning was that we got interviewed from a journalist who works for CMU Marketing. We optimized the chance to introduce the project, our design process, and the impact we envision this project to have. We regarded this as a super valuable chance to make our work much more impactful.
