This week we have two major goals to achieve. The first goal is to ensure the success and quality of our halve presentation on Monday, and the second goal is to collect all the feedback that we can during the halve from our faculty and clients to make major improvements and adjustments.
We concentrated our efforts on the rehearsal of our halve presentation early Monday and tested our live demo several times to reduce the possibility of demon malfunction during the presentation. The whole presentation went smoothly and we did deliver what we aimed to demonstrate. However, we still got several feedback regarding the expectation and scope of our art therapy project as we did not and could not produce some of the features that we originally promised at the beginning. Therefore, we immediately held a stand up meeting together after the presentation to walk through the comments that we got and began the evaluation process.
Based on the responses from our faculty members, we still have some small details regarding the color selection and UI that we ought to nail down including what color options we have to give to the clients? (color picker or color wheel? What’s the color range if we give a fixed number of options) What options can we have for the canvas size? Can clients work individually and have the option of using its own canvas rather than sharing it with other clients? To ensure those small questions will be solved in our future agenda, we organized a list and wrote down all the features we either need to modify, add, or remove with the ranking of priority. One big concern that our faculty shared was the option of creating sculpture since we included this option in our UI flow demonstration, which made them worried about whether we can successfully pull this feature out. After discussing and reconfirming with our clients, we assure that painting will be the only primary therapeutic option that we focus on.
During our meeting with our faculty advisors, we got some valuable feedback regarding the environment design and UI flow. We also refurbished our task board and created several tracking lists (art asset, UI, etc) to ensure we can keep up with our original schedule. (Because our faculty thought we had a kind of slow initiation on our prototype development and we need to compress our schedule and enhance our communication to boost the work efficiency.
