This week we began to warp up our progress and prepare for the soft presentation in the upcoming week. We have done around 25 playtests which provided us with abundant feedback about our VR user experience. Therefore, we did not put more playtests on this week’s schedule. Instead we put our main attention on fixing existing bugs and adding new art assets that can provide extra edge to the product. Beside the product itself, we also need to polish our websites and upload all the media that documented our production process.
Our team implemented adjustments to the waiting process flow as we finished the waiting room model on Monday. After demonstrating the final version of our product to the clients and our instructors, we went through a test section with Faculty Jesse and collected some critical feedback. Some related to the art assets allocation, others related to the user experience flow and general control of the avatar. The information we got from Jesse was meaningful but also hard to tackle because many suggestions required a total overhaul of the prototype which we were unable to redesign and complete within a week before soft presentation. An intense discussion was held between team members and we had to put some low priority goals aside.
On Friday we held our last mock session with our clients Tom and Ikuko. The whole session went smoothly and the build we pulled up satisfied the goals we set, which brought us a glimpse of relief.
For next week, we have soft as the major event in our agenda and ready our post softs tasks including video trailer and all documentations.
