The 14th week was to wrap up the project and prepare for handing it off to the client. We continued to refine the build, prepare for the final presentation due next week and writing required documentation including the postmortem, codebase, technical document and design document.
We iterated the UI to add more visual appeal and added a settings menu with more accessibility options including subtitles and control modes.
We added cutscenes between the levels to make the game play more juicy and engaging. And added the feature to skip the introduction cutscenes to make the experience easy and replayable.
To make the game more accessible we added the subtitle feature which can be turned on or off as per the guests preference. The subtitles were designed to be placed close to the centre of the frame from ease of readability with the eye tracker and also without causing any visual distraction from the game.
Along with more such iterations we worked on our final presentation slides. We decided to show a recorded demo for the campaign mode and a live demo for the arcade mode.
