Objectives

  • Experimenting with ways to get the player moving in a room-scale environment
  • Testing the precision of the Vive Controllers

Mechanics

  • Rotate left controller for left/right
  • Rotate right controller for up and down

The objective is to move the circle through the pipe without touching it, and the controls correspond to how a cameraman would control a camera in movie shoots. Findings

  • It is an interesting concept, and static puzzle games in VR have a lot of potential
  • Seeing a 3D puzzle and being able to examine it from all angles is interesting
  • However, puzzle games in the Vive need to take full advantage of walking around the room
