Team Catharsis is producing an immersive VR Art Experience that attempts to introduce a different style of narrative in the VR space. In the experience, the viewer will be perched on the back of a bird exploring a vast oceanic world. The rules of VR storytelling are yet to be written, and the quest to establish narrative paradigms in the space are in full flow.<\/p>\n

However, the question we are trying to ask is \u2018Can VR be art?\u2019. The overarching creative challenge we are facing on this project is how do we curate a narrative while still staying true to the original goal of having the viewer be able to draw his own interpretation of the events unfolding around him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parallely the team is also developing a preproduction package for the next team to build on. On a high level, the experience will be set in Virtual Reality and depict a message of cultural unity seen through the eyes of a child. <\/span><\/p>\n

The experience will be set inside a child\u2019s room, containing dolls from various cultures dancing <\/span>to their respective tunes, finally merging together in a breathtaking symphony.<\/span><\/p>\n
