Game Design
We are developing two of the mini-games to teach kids cybersecurity principles. The first game focuses on how to use judgement when sorting e-mail messages. We are teaching kids to discern what e-mail messages are suspicious and should be deleted, what spam is and to delete it, and how to avoid viruses in attachments by deleting them. The second game focuses on chat room behavior and emphasizes learning what sort of questions kids should be wary of to avoid cyber predators, and that it is okay to just ignore someone or leave a chat rather than give away any private information that may put them in danger.
