Because of differing schedules for the production of the final game, the ETC team was working
over the past two semesters to produce the interface and game engine for the MSE team to then
take and provide the underlying Network Simulation system that will actually create a working
training tool.
In the image above, the split between the work the ETC CyberSecurity team was supposed to produce
and the work that the software engineering team was to produce is shown. The section between
the two, the "Interface", is a jointly written standard communication system that allows the
game engine to talk to the as-yet-unwritten network simulation.
